Dome field advantage is working out well for the Atlanta Falcons thus far. The Falcons are the early favorite to take home the NFC crown.
Oddsmakers have installed the Falcons as 7-4 favorites to represent the NFC in Super Bowl XLV in Arlington, Tex., according to scoresandodds.com.
That makes sense because as long as the Falcons keep winning the path to the Super Bowl runs through Peachtree Street. Atlanta has had some serious success at home with Matt Ryan at QB. The third-year standout from Boston College is 20-2 at the Dome.
The odds of the No. 2 seed Chicago Bears of winning the NFC are slightly behind the Falcons at 2-1, followed by the No. 3 seed Philadelphia Eagles (3-1), No. 5 seed Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) and No. 6 seed Green Bay Packers (4-1).
The No. 4 seed Seattle Seahawks, who won the NFC West despite a 7-9 record, are 75-1 long shots to make it to Dallas.
Over in the other conference, the No. 1 seed New England Patriots are heavy favorites to represent the AFC. They are 5-8 favorites. Every $1 you wager will return a whopping $1.635 cents.
The odds on the No. 2 seed Pittsburgh Steelers making it to Super Bowl XLV are 5-2, followed by the No. 5 seed Baltimore Ravens (5-1), the No. 6 seed New York Jets (8-1) and the No. 3 seed Indianapolis Colts (8-1).
The Kansas City Chiefs are 10-1 to win the AFC title.
When it comes down to the Super Bowl, New England is an early 6-5 favorite (a $1 bet wins $2.20). Atlanta and Pittsburgh are both 4-1. Indianapolis is 9-1, while the Bears, Saints, Ravens and Packers are 10-1.
The Jets and the Eagles have a 14-1 shot to win the big game. The Chiefs and Seahawks are long shots. Kansas City faces 30-1 odds, while Seattle faces 75-1 odds to win the Super Bowl, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Eastern on Feb. 6 at Cowboys Stadium
